About

Our mission for the Satos

Hola, I’m Andrea, founder of Adventure Satos. I’m a documentary-style & fashion photographer, filmmaker & independent animal rescuer. This project started in 2016 after my first rescue mission in my home town of Vega Baja, Puerto Rico. A town forgotten by many & known to have some of the worst cases of animal abandonment & abuse.

With my camera in hand I wanted to document the Satos (Puerto Rican street dogs) of the island. Capturing their struggles all the way to their greatest adventure of finding a home.

Since then I have grown this project to finding my awesome rescue partners at Loves Animal Rescue where I am a proud board member & creative director. If I am not rescuing on my own, I’m assisting LAR visually from the states & rescuing with them when I’m back home on the island.

While living stateside, I offer photo sessions that give back to the Satos of Puerto Rico. A portion of every photo session goes back to continue helping the animals still on the street with food, supplies & medical assistance. Every little bit helps.

Thank you for joining us on this adventure!
